Independent research (Maze Runner: Death Cure)

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

The shots used in the scene are zoom, pedestal, handheld, dolly and the pan.

The zoom shot is used to show the audience what the characters are doing inside the car as the camera zooms in on the car at the beginning of the scene.

The Pedestal shot is used to show the audience what one of the characters is looking at in their hand and it comes right back up to the person holding the watch to make it like this character is checking the time.

The handheld shot gets used very often and is used for the effects of being inside a car or on a train as it shakes.

The dolly is used when the camera is moving at the same time the train and car is moving as this is used to catch up with the vehicles.

And the pan is used when the army are getting ready to exit the chopper and shows the audience one person moving to the back room and the camera moves to make us see where is that person going. The pan that was used was a slow paced pan.
