Spy fiction genre

The spy fiction genre is when people go undercover and save the world and it was very popular back in the 1960s, with "Mission Impossible", "James Bond", "The Saint" and "The man from U.N.C.L.E".

The common known spy fiction elements are stealth, gadgets, guns, hacking, intelligence and crime fighting.

There had also been Spy parodies like the Austin Powers films with Mike Myers.

The spy character is usually male and often wears a tuxedo, there has been spy fiction series with women involved such as Charlie's Angels from the 1970s (It got made into a movie in 2000).

The spy fiction genre also was in kids cartoon shows and movies as well.

The spy fiction genre could be that the spy works for MI6 or the CIA.

Spy fiction emerged in the early twentieth century, inspired by rivalries and intrigues between the major powers, and the establishment of modern intelligence agencies.
